Group urges Tinubu to remain focus on his development agenda
Renew Hope Continuity Marshals, a political support group, has called on President Bola Tinubu to remain focused on his commitment to sustainable development of Nigeria.
National coordinator of the organisation, Osawemwenhio Uwagboe, made the call in a statement on Wednesday in Abuja.
He also urged Tinubu not to be deterred by the antics of “political marabouts and jobbers’’ who were currently regrouping under different political nomenclature.
Uwagboe also urged all Nigerians to support the sustenance of the ongoing efforts by Tinubu led administration aimed at rejuvenating Nigeria economy.
He said that Nigerians needed to appreciate and continue to support Tinubu’s passion and sincerity for overall socio-economic development of Nigeria.
He said that by the total removal of fuel subsidy and other pungent economic policies being implemented, the Tinubu led administration had demonstrated his commitment to save Nigeria future and generation of Nigerians yet unborn.
“In fact, as it is well known government policies such as deregulation and liberalisation are positive policies that, however, require initial public sacrifice before bringing about national economic prosperity,’’ he said.
Uwagboe emphasised that Tinubu’s policies hinged on the Renew Hope Agenda were yielding positive results.
“The recent downward slope in food prices, petrol prices, and the appreciation of the naira against the dollar are all indicative of his commitment to sustainable development.
“We also commend his efforts in fighting banditry and terrorism, which are constituting great security threat to our existence as a nation.
“Also is the implementation of people-oriented policies in the agricultural, education, health, youth development, solid minerals, energy and other key sectors on our nation economy which are equally making positive impacts,’’ he said.
Uwagboe described the group as a unified and deliberate synergy of like-minded past student leaders, youth and young adults from across Nigeria, who had resolved that it was high time Nigeria make progress irrespective of the challenges.
Uwagboe said that the group believed that progress was the only alternative, and they were committed to achieving it, no matter the cost or implications.
“One unique thing about this group is that we belong to different political persuasions and beliefs but with a common denominator as a binding force:
“We believe in President Tinubu and that Nigeria will progress and prosper under him.
“This resolve is motivated and fueled by the obviously demonstrated sincerity and commitment by Tinubu to restore this country on the path of genuine development, prosperity, stability and progress,’’ he said.
Uwagboe said that as a political movement with structures in all the 36 States and FCT, the group would capitalise on its membership strength to mobilise for the re-election of Tinubu come 2027 general election.
He said that the cardinal objective of the group is to promote the laudable giant strides of President Tinubu across the country as basis to mobilise for his re-lection.
He re-affirmed the group’s commitment to the unity and co-operate existence of Nigeria as one indivisible entity in spite of the current security challenges.
He also pledged the group’s continuous cooperation and support to both the legislature and the executive arm of the government in their bid in stamping out corruption from Nigeria.
